OSROK Votes Magna-Tech

Seoul, Korea - The office of supply for the Republic of Korea has awarded Magna-Tech a contract to supply 16 & 35mm Series 2000 and PR-636 high speed electronic projection systems. The sale, which is valued in excess of US $250,000.00, was negotiated through Koil Corporation (Magna-Tech's Exclusive South Korean distributor), and Ernesto Aguilar, Vice President of Magna-Tech.

Joon Y. Jo, president of Koil Corporation, visited Magna-Tech's new manufacturing and production facilities in December of 1995 to negotiate the details of the order and inspect Magna-Tech's facility.

Koil Corporation is a full service and support organization which handles the entire spectrum of needs for motion picture, television, and general media related business requirements.

Magna-Tech is grateful to be associated with the Koil Corporation, and gratified to have been selected as the main supplier of post production film systems for this most important assignment.

Prize Finds Way to Magna-Tech


Magna-Tech received an Oscar in 1973 from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This award was for creating a new system of recording for motion picture post production.

When Magna-Tech moved to its new headquarters in Miami, the Oscar was left behind in New York. Now the award has found its way to Miami and is proudly on display in Magna-Tech's new home.

Thanks go to Bud Legried, formerly of Magna-Tech and now with Rangertone. Bud was able to locate Oscar and return him to Magna-Tech.
