MONITOR SELECTOR
The monitor selector routes audio signals from the master recorder, mono stripe recorder, cue reproducer and audio tape recorder to the studio and control room monitors as well as to the actors and directors headphones. "Ahead" of loop, "Loop" and "Past" loop cue track monitoring can be selected by illuminated push buttons for actor and director and for control room monitoring. Monitor selector includes 6 track mixer and cue-Keyboard control of high-speed selection. Cue Beep and pre-FOII position- Four programmable keys- System and keyboard error alarm Level of audio on all outputs, on cue track and beep tone level is adjustable at monitor selector control panel. The VCA mixer is for combining up to six tracks from the master recorder when multiple track recording and monitoring is needed for foley effects recording. The cue beeps on the actors headphones can be switched on and off from the selector control panel. All selector switch functions on the monitor selector front panel are multiplexed and sent in serial format via fiber optic to minimize noise transfer from console to the machine room. The "Cue manual/auto" selection switches the cue from playback mode in the "Ahead" of loop and back to normal Buss monitoring in "Loop" and "Past".


"EL" CONTROL UNIT
THE "EL" control terminal contains a 12 line by 40-character plasma display unit, CPU board, detachable keyboard and a removable off/line RAM storage cartridge. The internal counter can be selected for Footage/frames, Meters/frames or Minutes/seconds/frames. When in the "Time" mode frame rate may be selected for 24, 25 or 30 frames. When set to "Footage" or "Meters" 16mm or 35mm format of count may be selected. Frame blanking on the optional 9FR remote counter display may be selected from the terminal. A selector switch for "Playback in reverse" enables monitoring while system runs in reverse. Terminal display has an internal date and time display, the "Counter" display, loop "Start" footage/frames, loop "Finish" footage/frames, "Event" (loop) number, status of the six master recorder tracks (record or play) the mono recorder and the ATR, status of motion (Fwd, Stop, Rev, F Fwd, F Rev) and status of position (Ahead, Loop, Past). Loop frames may be modified by + and - keys without reentering whole loop footage/frames. All selected "print takes" are stored in the system for automatic sequential playback of the film reel or for transferring to the mono recorder. A hard copy of the stored information may also be obtained through the RS232 C port on an optional printer.

The MTE model 9FR remote display unit for mounting under the projection screen receives serial BCD from the Master Control Unit.

The 9FR are self-powered.

The 4" high 6 digit hexadecimal display is formed by a series of life LED's THE MTE 9 FR REMOTE DISPLAY

Optional Accessories Include
RAM cartridge for storage of loop data and for preparation of cue sheet. 10 years of date retention.
